Bentley has announced a new Continental GT V8. The new car comes equipped with a newly designed 4.0 liter, 32 valve twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
Engine and Performance
The V8 produces 542bhp and does 0 to 100km/h in 4 seconds flat while maxing out at a top speed of 318km/h. This new engine is designed with two priorities; Power and fuel efficiency. Consequently, it is no surprise that the new Continental GT V8 feels more exciting and sportier than its W12 powered sibling. The Continental GT V8 is also lighter thanks to the less bulky engine, and this translates to more agility and responsiveness on the road.
This being a Bentley, the company’s inimitable design language is present here, and boy is it good looking. From the gorgeous headlights to the elegantly contoured body, it’s safe to say that the new Continental GT is one of the best looking cars on the market today.
The Continental GT ships with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard, though these can be upgraded to 22 inches with more than nine design configurations available.
Bentley also announced an all-new panoramic glass roof exclusive to the w12 model for those who would want to let in more light. The glass roof is made from polarised glass which Bentley says helps the occupants of the car see more clearly while also reducing glare.
As we’ve grown to expect from Bentley, the Continental GT V8 comes equipped with one of the most luxurious and technologically-advanced interiors you’d find in a car.
The interior is wrapped with carefully handcrafted materials which include high-quality leather and veneers coupled with gloss carbon fiber finishes for the dashboard and door panels. The car’s center console is coated with a neat piano black finish.
