The news from Molsheim is that Solitaire is an expansion of Bugatti Sur Mesure. It is a platform for crafting one-of-one vehicles commissioned by its most loyal customers.
The first creation, Brouillard, showcases the program’s emphasis on personalization and craftsmanship. Its bold and imposing look draws inspiration from Ettore Bugatti’s favorite horse - a magnificent thoroughbred named Brouillard.
According to Bugatti, this thoroughbred was very special. So impressive that it inspired some of Ettore’s creations. Ettore designed a stable door mechanism that allowed the horse to open it without help. That’s something that showcases their bond and Ettore’s appreciation for grace and intelligence. The new car seeks to celebrate the bond between the man and his horse.
While unmistakably a Bugatti, the Brouillard Coupé channels this spirit through sculpted forms that emphasize power over flash and surface over line. It is shaped like a living being, muscular, elegant, and commanding. A definite head-turner.
Built on Bugatti’s W16 platform with 1,600 PS from a quad-turbocharged engine, Brouillard is the apex of nearly two decades of engineering evolution. But its strength lies equally in its sleek design.
The aerodynamic philosophy behind Brouillard integrates form and function so seamlessly that performance elements become part of its visual poetry. Air intakes, a fixed ducktail spoiler, and a diffuser work in harmony with the car’s elegant profile.
