Announced at the 2018 Boat Dusseldorf show, the Predator 74 has for the past few years been a great ambassador for the yacht-building expertise of Sunseeker International. In January 2021, the yacht was inducted into the company’s premium XPS limited edition range, adding many substantial performance and style upgrades.
The XPS package, among other things, brings “dramatic new styling” and “luxurious appointments” and, in this case, means that the Predator 74 comes stacked with the more powerful 1900 MAN engine.
Measuring 22.82 M in length and 5.38 in the beam, the updated Predator 74 gets a great design, ample power, and a luxurious ambiance that makes boating an utter joy.

The 74’s cockpit offers plenty of room, with a huge sun pad on top of the garage and crew quarters on the lower deck. A large sofa with seating for about ten people, along with a foldable table and a wet bar unit, is available, too. A retractable carbon fiber canopy that slides out of the roof can cover the cockpit area to provide even more shade for the seating area.
The foredeck is fitted with a C-shaped sofa encompassing a coffee table, and an adjustable double sun pad, while the aft comes with a garage capable of holding a Williams 395 tender.

The main deck’s salon is separated from the cockpit by a retractable glass structure, seamlessly integrating the two areas. On the inside, the yacht’s special XPS interior detailing shines through with exquisite woods, luxurious contrasting fabrics, stainless steel, and carbon fiber trims, and rich lacquers on display throughout.
A spacious sofa with an expandable table between it, large cabinets, and a mini sofa next to the boat’s two-seater helm station at the front are available, while large windows and a carbon-fiber roof with glazed panels give the salon’s occupants a 360-degree view of their surroundings.

The 74’s lower deck houses a neat little galley, a mini dining area, and three cabins. The galley comes stuffed with most of the necessities you’d expect to make your long-distance travels a breeze. These include a stovetop, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator.
The boat’s master cabin is as premium and beautiful as they get, with amenities including storage compartments, a flat-screen TV, a walk-in wardrobe, and of course, an ensuite bathroom. A neatly designed VIP cabin, also with XPS detailing, and a double cabin make up the rest of the lower compartment.
The Predator 74 comes powered by a pair of MAN engines that provide up to 3800hp and an impressive top speed of 40 knots. Sunseeker state that the boat’s range is 330 nautical miles at 21 knots.

An update to the popular Predator 74, the 74 XPS limited edition takes an already impressive boat and then adds bespoke styling and improved performance to it, producing a yacht that should be hard to beat in its class.
