Let’s face it, many of us spend a large amount on fitness equipment. We hope to use these to reach our fitness goals of dropping all that midsection fat. Most of us dream of a body that won’t just look great but also have our cardiologist taking a pharmaceutical product or two off our daily routine.
However, after a week (or one month if you’re lucky), that initial enthusiasm fades away, and slowly the equipment starts to gather dust. It then falls into the graveyard of other fitness products that rarely see any use.
For me, it’s a bit of a shame, as I could really use the desired fitness while filming. I often desperately try to keep up with the crew, hoping my strained breathing won’t give away my hope for a break. Perhaps, there’s another way to stay motivated.
Sometimes you’re lucky enough to encounter items so alluring, you want one even before you know what it is. In most cases, the catchy items are the work of brilliant designers who understand what triggers desire in the human brain.
They have mastered their craft so well that every single thing that comes out of their studio follows that philosophy and helps the brand build a loyal fan base.
I’ll admit I’m hard to please when it comes to consumer products, and I don’t see the elegance in overly ostentatious designs. Whether that be in cars or audiophile products, there are certain well-known brands that will never appeal to me.
What I do appreciate is creative design that doesn’t try to be loud but catches the attention of the onlooker. In many ways, PENT. products exhibit what I would classify as hard-to-ignorant design that should elevate any space.
PENT. has a rather unusual collection of products. These include handcrafted wellness equipment such as free weights, benches, and stretch rollers. The uniqueness comes in the form of audio equipment in matching finishes with choice materials like leather, walnut, and brushed metal.
I’ll be brutally honest: when it comes to fitness equipment, while I do consider aesthetics, it's not a high priority, as I’m mostly preoccupied with figuring out how to use it consistently. Perhaps that was a mistake. When you have products so beautiful you can’t ignore, maybe you'll have extra motivation to use them.
As you can see in the images, words like mundane and cliché won’t cross your mind when you look at these wellness products. On the contrary, there’s a good chance that the items will have you thinking your home gym needs a remodel to breath life into your wellness goals.
PENT. offers wellness equipment suitable for home gyms, commercial wellness spaces like hotel gyms, and products built specifically for yachts. They also have in-room fitness equipment on a creative cart to make it easy to move out of the way when you’re done with your workout.
Across this product line, one thing remains consistent: Simple design that should elevate any space with a touch of elegance.
All that said, I’m yet to try out the products, but that will change soon. I never really thought you could get this creative with fitness equipment, but I’ll admit I haven’t really been looking. In the coming months, we hope to explore the PENT. products more to see if the function matches their undeniable allure.
My home gym may be in for an upgrade. Hopefully, it’ll be one that makes me take my fitness routine a little more seriously. It certainly could use some help.
