We've mourned the death of the V12 multiple times, but for some reason, it refuses to go away, and we keep seeing 'the last one'. Let’s ignore that as we take a look at Automobili Lamborghini's new 1065 HP Fenomeno Roadster. It is an exclusive model limited to just 15 units worldwide.
Presented at the second edition of the automaker's premiere fan event, Lamborghini Arena in Imola, the new roadster comes with a hybrid V12 powertrain producing 1065 HP. That makes it the most powerful open-top the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based automaker has ever made.
The Fenomeno Roadster is the open-top sibling of the Fenomeno Coupé, first presented in 2025, and continues Lamborghini’s tradition of open-top ‘Few-Off’ models. That’s a lineage that began with the Reventon Roadster in 2009.
Lamborghini positions the two-seater as a blend of visionary design, motorsport-inspired engineering, and exclusivity. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, described it as a collectible masterpiece created for a select group of customers who demand the best of the best.
The star of the powertrain is Lamborghini's V12 hybrid High Performance Electrified Vehicle system. It combines a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 with three electric motors to produce 1065 HP (1080CV). According to Lamborghini, the Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 6.8 seconds, and reach a top speed of over 340 km/h.
The V12 alone delivers 835 CV at 9,250 rpm and 725 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, which makes it the most powerful V12 the marque has ever built. Two electric motors are mounted at the front, while a third sits above the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, supporting functions such as torque vectoring and regenerative braking. A 7 kWh lithium-ion battery enables fully electric driving mode.
Lamborghini developed an aerodynamic package for the Roadster to preserve the downforce, stability, and balance offered by the Coupé. Redesigned upper surfaces, a windshield-mounted spoiler, and integrated carbon rollover structures all contribute to airflow management, cockpit comfort, and efficient engine cooling. Clearly, the Italian automaker has done a little bit more than simply cutting off the roof.
The design follows Lamborghini’s 'feel like a pilot' philosophy, with the traditional sharply sculpted front end, wide air intakes, pronounced flanks, and a dramatic rear diffuser. The flat silhouette, sloping side windows, and rear styling draw inspiration from the Essenza SCV12 and 1970s racing prototypes. Hexagonal details appear throughout the exterior and interior, including the LED light signatures, air vents, and instrument display.
Inside, the cockpit features generous amounts of carbon fiber, Dinamica's Corsoletex, and Lamborghini’s patented Carbon Skin material. Contoured seats (no promises about doing anything for your bad back) with contrasting red stitching sit alongside three digital displays, haptic buttons, and aviation-inspired switches designed to keep the driver focused.
The featured launch specification is finished in Blu Cepheus with Rosso Mars accents. That’s a combination that pays tribute to the 1968 Miura Roadster (Lomborghini’s first roadster) and the colors of Bologna (red and blue).
The Fenomeno Roadster also features a multi-technology carbon fiber chassis, manually adjustable racing shock absorbers, and Lamborghini’s CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic braking system. Tarmac handling duties go to the bespoke Bridgestone Potenza tires optimized for high-speed performance and precise steering response.
With only 15 examples planned, if you don’t already have an allocation, you’ll have to negotiate a private sale to get one. You’ll likely need to wait at least a year after the late 2026 deliveries to find a bored owner.
