At a special event on May 1st, 2025, Oyster Yachts introduced its newest flagship sailing yacht, the Oyster 805, an 80-foot bluewater cruiser that blends the capabilities of a long-range sailing yacht with design cues and comfort levels typically reserved for larger superyachts.
Positioned between the Oyster 745 and 885 Series II, the 805 redefines what’s possible in its category by offering extensive personalization, luxury living, and performance in a size that remains practical and versatile for global navigation.
Visually, the yacht presents a fresh evolution of Oyster’s iconic profile. Collaborating with Humphreys Yacht Design, Oyster Yachts designed the 805 with sleek exterior lines and an enhanced window arrangement, including three sets of large Seascape windows that flood the saloon and owner’s suite with natural light and offer panoramic ocean views.
These generous openings give the yacht an airy, open atmosphere that’s rare in its class. The yacht’s deck layout has also been reimagined to support both relaxation and utility, with innovations such as a twin-access bathing platform, a convertible tender well that becomes a chill-out zone, and integrated “Wing Seats” beside the helm for a great vantage point.
Inside, the Oyster 805 is a showcase of finely crafted living spaces. Owners can tailor the four en-suite cabins to suit personal preferences, with options to include a home office, private library, or even a gym.
The saloon can also be configured with a bar area, merging comfort and convenience for entertaining onboard. The interiors emphasize craftsmanship and flexibility, incorporating high-quality materials, modern design language, and customizable layouts that feel intimate and expansive.
On deck, the yacht introduces new lifestyle features that cater to extended cruising or casual afternoon escapes. The central cockpit is shaded by a fixed solar-powered “Starlight Bimini,” which seamlessly blends function with form.
The solar Birmini delivers ambient lighting embedded in the roof and integrates well with the elegant lines and overall design of the Oyster 805.

Built with Lloyd’s-certified structural integrity and available with either a standard deep keel or a shoal draft option, the yacht is capable of accessing remote anchorages that might be off-limits to larger vessels.
