The Riva 90 Argo - A sizeable addition to the Flybridge lineup

Launched in 2019, the Riva 90 Argo emerged as a standout addition to the Flybridge lineup from Riva Yachts, a subsidiary of the Ferretti Group. With an interior and exterior design by long-time partner Officina Italiana Design, this 90-foot (93’6” to be exact) yacht marked a transformative moment in yacht design for the Sarnico-based shipbuilder. This sizeable yacht is a perfect combination of beauty and innovation.
As one of five yachts in Riva's illustrious Flybridge lineup, the 90 Argo sits comfortably in the middle. It's smaller than the stellar 120 Corsaro Super, 110 Dolcevita, and 130 Belsima, and slightly larger than the Diva. This positioning makes it a sweet spot for many, as it offers features you’ll find in its larger siblings while remaining in a lower price segment.
You're welcomed aboard the 90 Argo via its 6m² bathing platform. The submersible beach area comes attached with a retractable ladder, providing easy access into and out of the water and eliminating the need for the traditional hydraulic steel ladder, which remains an option. The aft garage offers ample space for a 395 Williams Sportjet Tender and a jet ski, an uncommon feature for a yacht this size.

Flanking the tender garage, two sets of stairs ascend to the yacht's roomy 30m² cockpit. This inviting space is furnished with two large sofas and a low central table, all mergeable to form a spacious sun pad. The arrangement comfortably accommodates dining for up to eight people, all while providing uninterrupted views of the sea. For buyers in the American market, an alternative cockpit layout with a slightly different configuration is also available.

Upon entering the interior of the main deck, you're greeted by a well-designed and appointed space that exudes the classic elegance for which Riva is renowned. Covering almost 40m², the lounge features full-height glass windows, offering plenty of sunlight and seamless ocean views. This elegant setting showcases Riva's design mastery through a harmonious blend of lacquer, wood, leather, and steel elements.
Aft, the lounge is fitted with a large L-shaped sofa and a TV mounted in a stylish panel. Starboard, a neat galley area offers convenience for meal preparation or serving drinks. Moving forward, an exquisite dining table for eight serves as the ideal setting for indoor dining.
Further forward, the bow area houses the boat's luxurious master suite, with a centrally placed bed, a walk-in closet, and a spacious ensuite bathroom. The main deck also shelters the primary helm station, equipped with Riva's latest electrohydraulic steering system and state-of-the-art navigation and monitoring equipment.

The 46m² flybridge is arguably the 90 Argo's key selling point, offering ample outdoor relaxation and socializing space. This part of the boat is decorated with freestanding furniture, a bar unit with stools port side, and an L-shaped sofa and Corian table on the right. Also present is a retractable monkey bridge, a glass skylight hardtop, and a secondary helm station with leather seats.
Accessible from the starboard bulwark of the main deck, the lower deck houses four cabins: a day head and three VIP double cabins, each with its own ensuite bathroom. The aft cabin essentially serves as a second full-beam master suite, thanks to its generous 20m² space.

As standard, the Riva 90 Argo comes powered by twin MTU 12V 2000 M96L engines, each with an output of 1948 MHP. The duo enables the yacht to reach a cruising speed of 22 knots and a top speed of 26 knots.

For power-hungry buyers, two additional engine options are available. Twin MTU 16V 2000 M84 engines, each producing 2218 MHP, giving the 90 Argo a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 28 knots. The other option includes a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M96 engines, each generating 2435 MHP, allowing for a cruising speed of 26 knots and a top speed of 30 knots.
While it may not be the most jaw-dropping boat in Riva's yard, the 90 Argo is a solid offering. With its blend of innovative design, luxurious amenities, and customizable options, the boat strikes a balance between luxury, performance, and practicality, offering those seeking a mid-range Flybridge an exceptional choice that doesn't compromise on any front.
