Bentley Motors has announced the commencement of production of the Blower Jnr, an 85% scale, all-electric reinterpretation of the legendary 1929 Bentley. Fully road-legal in the UK, EU, and USA, the Blower Jnr is handcrafted by Hedley Studio.

The studio is a specialist firm known for its engineering precision and bespoke craftsmanship. This modern homage to Bentley’s most celebrated racing car captures the spirit of a golden era while embracing a future of sustainable mobility.

Inspired by Team Car No. 2, the Blower Jnr mirrors the original in form and aesthetic, finished in the unmistakable Blower Green (owners will be able to choose from a range of colors) with hand-painted Union Flags. The result is a striking fusion of vintage elegance and modern electric performance, making it ideal for city streets and private estates.

It feels like a fantasy, yet it is so real, and as customers start to take delivery in a matter of months, it’s not hard to imagine the level of excitement the amazing machine will offer its owners. Only 349 examples will be produced, and owners will be able to customize their cars to match their unique personalities.

Electric Performance with Classic Character

Built on a steel chassis, the Blower Jnr features hand-formed aluminum panels and a rear-mounted 15 kW electric motor. Its 48V lithium-ion battery delivers a top speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) and a range of up to 105 km (65 miles). The “supercharger” housing cleverly conceals a charging port that can connect to a Type 1 or Type 2 socket, blending modern functionality with period-correct design.

Drivers can select from three modes: Comfort for standard road use, Sport for sharper throttle response, and Bentley. Don’t let its pre-war appearance fool you; the Blower Jnr meets modern standards, with full lighting, indicators, mirrors, and safety features required for public road use.

A Cabin Rooted in Heritage

The interior of the Blower Jnr is crafted with the same attention to detail found in Bentley’s road cars. The dashboard is turned aluminum, reflecting the design of the original Team Car. Switchgear and instrumentation have been modeled on the 1929 car, including period-style dials, a replica fuel pressure pump now used as the drive mode selector, and a functioning ignition key.

The seats (1x1) are trimmed in leather, and the steering wheel is rope-bound, just like the original. Pedals, footwell, and handbrake have all been scaled appropriately, making the vehicle suitable for drivers. The vintage look doesn't exclude the sophistication you'd expect to see in a modern Bentley cabin.

Tradition Recharged

With production now underway, the Blower Jnr brings history to life while showcasing Bentley’s storied past. It offers the unmistakable charm of 1920s motorsport with the quiet confidence of electric power. There’s something very endearing about an electric vintage car. One look at this beauty and anyone who’s into classic cars will want one. Don’t forget your Gatsby hat when you take the wheel.
