Bentley has announced a new Limited Edition Continental GT. The goal is to celebrate the Continental GT’s record at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb event in Colorado. To highlight how exclusive it will be, Bentley plans to produce only 15 examples of the car.

During the Pikes Peak event, the car set the record by shaving 8.4 seconds off the existing record at the 12.42-mile course. This made the Continental GT the fastest production car at the event. It managed to climb about 5000 feet up a winding mountain path in just 10 minutes and 18.4 seconds. Given the fact that this isn’t exactly the lightest car in the world, that’s a laudable achievement.

The Exterior

The limited-edition Grand Tourer comes with a carbon fiber body covered in Radium by Mulliner paintwork, which is in the same color scheme used in the record-breaking unit. To create contrast, designers used gloss black detailing on the wing mirrors, roof panel, front bumper inserts, and the rear.

The car comes with Pirelli P Zero Color Edition tires in radium finish along with 22inch wheels in gloss black well complimented by the striking acid green brake calipers.

The Interior

Alcantara dominates the interior with contrasting radium stitching, and Beluga hide complements. On the steering wheel, designers used honeycomb stitching coupled with a center stripe, both of which are in radium. To highlight the sporting theme, the interior is fitted with carbon fiber waist rails and fascias. On the passenger side, there is a graphic depiction of a section of the Pikes Peak track. Each of the 15 cars will feature one of five variants of the track graphic. On the seat headrests, there is Pikes Peak embroidery in Radium stitching as a nod to the car’s achievement on the track.

The Powertrain

Under the hood, the Continental GT Limited Edition has the same powertrain as the car that broke the record earlier this year at the Pikes Peak track. It features a 12-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine. The engine is capable of producing a maximum of 626hp and torque of 900Nm. This allows the Continental GT to jump from 0 to 60mph in just 3.6 seconds, along with a maximum speed of 207mph.

This is the second limited-edition Grand Tourer by Bentley this year. In June, the brand announced a Continental GT Convertible in honor of the 1929 No. 1 Bentley Blower.
