Its blistering straight-line speed and scintillating handling.
Design and Body
Its dramatic widebody design accommodates a 40mm increase in track width, which is accentuated by the choice of two new wheel designs. Firstly, there are 21” alloys (with Michelin Pilot 4S high performance tires) offered in satin black or satin black diamond turned. For anyone watching the scales, the second possibility is an optional lightweight wheel, available in Satin Black, which saves a further 8kg.
The new widebody design also features a dramatic aerodynamic package, a new front bumper design, a full width front splitter and a larger front grille to allow increased air flow through the engine cooling radiators. The assertive design continues along the side profile with a new sculpted single-piece sill, while there is a new and unique rear bumper and twin tailpipe exhaust system.
Moving to the interior, the Sports Plus Seat is trimmed in full semi-aniline leather featuring ‘Wings’ quilt and perforation pattern as standard. There is also a new carbon fiber performance seat with exposed twill carbon fiber shell and manual six-way adjustment available as an option to further enhance driving dynamics. Purchasers can choose from a selection of exterior graphics and liveries as well as a selection of colored brake calipers and painted wheel finishes.
Engine and Performance
Developing 700PS at 6500 rpm and 753Nm of torque from just 1800rpm to 6000rpm, this V12 Vantage is the fastest and most powerful ever built. It is also the final time that a 5.2 liter Twin Turbo V12 will be fitted in their car, with a distinct ‘horse shoe’ design engine vent which enhances the cooling of the engine.
The extensive use of weight-saving materials - an extensive use of carbon fiber, lightweight batter and a special center-mounted twin-exit exhaust system - throughout the car sees an power-to-weight increase of more than 20% compared to its V8 powered sibling.
The transmission has been finely tuned to enhance shift speeds and driver interaction and its adaptive software is designed to gauge the conditions the car is operating in. To provide the ultimate driving experience, the car is equipped with a new adaptive damping suspension system including new anti-roll bars, bushes, and spring and damper assemblies as well as a Carbon Ceramic Braking (CCB) system.
Fed through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and mechanical Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) mounted at the rear of the car, the new exhaust system is made from lightweight 1mm stainless-steel and produces a voice to match its looks and performance.
Furthermore, every V12 Vantage can be individually tailored through the company’s bespoke personalization service, Q by Aston Martin. Production is due to commence in Q1 of 2022, with first deliveries scheduled to begin during Q2 2022.
